Archery Range
The Archery Range, located at 575 Ash Street just east of the office building, is open to the public at all times during daylight hours. There are targets at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 yards. During certain times of year, 3-D targets are placed in the range. The range includes an elevated shooting stand and covered shooting platform.
In 2020 the Recreation District was awarded a grant from Colorado Parks & Wildlife for additional upgrades to the Archery Range to enhance the experience for range users. See photos of the range improvements below.

The Recreation District would like to thank crews from G.E. Johnson for their assistance on the work being done to improve the Ash Street Archery Range. HCDA Engineering donated the design of the shade shelter, the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park provided planks to improve the paths, and we received donations from Interroll and Cooley & Sons Excavating. This project is possible through a grant from Colorado Parks and Wildlife and funding assistance from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
