Canon City Tiger Wrestling

We are excited to announce a tremendous facelift to our wrestling program this year and for years to come. Our longtime coach, Kevin Brown, has teamed up with the local Canon City Wrestling Program to create a program that offers wrestling for novice to experienced wrestlers. For this year every child wanting to sign up for the Rec Program will sign up through us and be assigned to the Monday and Wednesday practices. However, if the coaches feel the child is ready to move up, then they will transfer them up to the club practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays for no additional charge.

With this partnership, comes the opportunity to wrestle in more tournaments beside the intramural tournament at the end of the season. These tournaments do carry an additional fee, however, no child is required to attend any.

The youth wrestling program is for boys and girls ages 5 to 13 who wish to learn the fundamentals of wrestling. Wrestlers learn escapes, take downs, rides, and many more moves. Children will wrestle other children of similar size and ability.

Practices are on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Canon City High School wrestling room. Practice days are subject to change and practices over the holiday breaks will be announced by the coaches.

PRACTICES:

6:15 pm - 7:15 pm Mondays and Wednesdays starting October 28th (Doors will not open until 6pm. Please do not drop your child off before then.)
Times will depend on the Canon City School District Schedule.
