Over the past 50+ years the Cañon City Area Recreation and Park District has provided numerous adult and youth sports activities for our community as part of our mission to provide recreational opportunities for "participants of every age, ability level, cultural background and financial status".

Adult Sports

The Cañon City Area Recreation and Park District offers a wide range of activities for our adult participants- from the laid-back Adult Cornhole and Sand Volleyball Leagues, to the more competitive Adult Basketball and Adult Softball Leagues.

Youth Sports

The Recreation District's youth sports are for those 2 to 17 years old. Participants can learn athletic skills and gain an appreciation of teamwork. The District offers programming geared to a variety of interests and age ranges from Sporties for Shorties, an introductory class for our youngest participants, to track and field, wrestling, and leagues in basketball, football, volleyball and soccer.
